Tessellated Tuesday

Yesterday evening I went to my monthly quilt group meeting for Tuesday Quilters and the theme for this month was 'Tessellations'. It was a fun meeting with my fellow committee member June demonstrated how to put together the design above and had a lovely assisstant Norma. She had to work hard and demonstrate to 3 small groups as we couldn't all get round the sewing machine at once  - well done you two!

We had our show and tell which included this simple but effective quilt made by June for Project Linus.
June also brought this one made with hexagons and a beautiful cat!
Eileen had brought a scrap quilt which also counted as a tessellation because the basic unit was triangles. Look how stunning her use of colour is:
I also took along my tessellated leaves mini quilt and my new red tumbler.

The ladies are really fascinated with my Accuquilt Go cutter and talked about having a tumbler cutting session so we can make raffle quilts for our coffee morning in November - a great idea!

  1. Quilt haze,
Some really great quilts that you and your friends have created. I love the tessellations quilts- I have often thought I should make one but still haven't done so just yet. These ones are certainly inspiring pieces.
    Thanks for sharing,
    Regards,
    Anna
