This and That

Look what the postman brought me! Isn't he kind? Actually it is Accuquilt who are being kind as a result of SewCalGal's organising of the 'Bloggers with Accuquilt Products' group. Accuquilt have their own team of bloggers on Facebook and have decided to add all of SewCalGal's team to their list. As a result I got a choice of 3 dies - thank you Accuquilt and SewCalGal! It was very hard to choose but I decided to think ahead to Autumn and Christmas as I'm planning to design a few quilts which will feature the Autumn and Christmas shapes. I also got a 1 1/2" strip cutter as I've been using this size of strip a lot recently for making my bookmarks and luggage tags.

By the way SewCalGal is hosting a Spring Blog Hop this week - hurry over for the links to the featured blogs and have a chance of winning some fantastic prizes!

Over the weekend I was at college in Skipton. I don't really have anything to show you from that as all I was doing was cutting and sticking pictures into books to accompany my quilts and samples. The quilt I started last week hit the buffers when I decided I had messed up the trapunto and used wadding which was too thick so I'll have to start that again. Hey Ho, these things happen from time to time! I decided it was better to quit and restart rather than waste more time on something I was never going to be satisfied with.

My fellow student Anne-Marie had been busy and finished her ferns quilt which I absolutely love!
Everyone is further ahead with their college work than me so I have some serious catching up to do this month!

  1. Glad to hear you what dies you selected. I do so hope you'll create something fun and enter the Fall theme blog hop. {I'll share more insights via email to those on the email list, this summer}.
