Snow and a Prize

We woke up this morning to a blanket of snow. It's almost unheard of in November in England and created a bizarre sight in my street. This tree which was still covered in beautiful golden leaves is now shedding them on top of the snow! Many of you in other parts of the world would laugh if you were watching breakfast news here this morning. Such a fuss about the white stuff!

I have had a very lucky time lately. I won a prize in the SewCalGal Christmas Show! I am so thrilled to have had my name drawn from all the fantastic entries for the show and delighted that my prize is a pattern generously donated by Nina-Lise of Mrs Moen's Patterns. Thank you so much SewCalGal and Mrs Moen!! Thank you also to everyone who visited my blog during the Christmas Quilt Show  left lovely comments. It is so encouraging to read them. I had great fun viewing everyone else's blogs and it was a privilege to see all the gorgeous quilts!

Here's a quick peek at my prize which includes SIX applique designs and FIVE projects:

Wowee!! I can't wait to get started on these! Now I have a perfect excuse to sew - the snow looks very pretty from my window but I'll keep warm and cosy with my sewing machine today!

Have a great weekend!

  2. Congratulations Hazel. I too love Mrs. Moens Patterns and her 'Mix and Match for Christmas' applique pattern is so cute. Can't wait to see yours when you make it. I'm sure it will be delightful. Maybe you'll enter it in the Christmas Quilt Show 2011.

  3. Congratulations Hazel. They are gorgeous patterns. Wouldn't the cat-santa runner look wonderful in my lounge? I'll reply to your email later - after Strictly Come Dancing.
