SewCalGal's Christmas Quilt Show to begin. I'd like to share some small Christmas quilts I've made this year thanks to Quiltsue. She has been hosting a Christmas Quiltalong and that has prompted me to make an early start on Christmassy stitching.
First up is my Santa wallhanging. Here's a close up of the quilting:
It's a fun project and I'd definitely recommend the pattern.
Next a preprinted panel which I thought would be a very quick project but took longer than I thought. I got carried away with the free motion quilting and did lots of stitching around the design and in the background.
And finally my latest work in progress: Christmas Stars Runner:
This is another project using paper piecing alongside some quick pieced chequerboard strips. I used a star design I found in a French patchwork magazine and drew it in Electric Quilt. I then played around with block arrangements to make a design for the table runner.
You can download the EQ7 project by clicking here or by clicking on the Electric Quilt tab above. I'll add a picture of the finished thing as soon as it's done!
