Hurray! It's time for SewCalGal's Christmas Quilt Show to begin. I'd like to share some small Christmas quilts I've made this year thanks to Quiltsue. She has been hosting a Christmas Quiltalong and that has prompted me to make an early start on Christmassy stitching.
First up is my Santa wallhanging. Here's a close up of the quilting:
This was made from a paper piecing pattern which I enlarged on my home printer/copier to double it's original size.
It's a fun project and I'd definitely recommend the pattern.
Next a preprinted panel which I thought would be a very quick project but took longer than I thought. I got carried away with the free motion quilting and did lots of stitching around the design and in the background.
I was so pleased with the result and this Quilt will take pride of place on the living room wall in December!
And finally my latest work in progress: Christmas Stars Runner:
This is another project using paper piecing alongside some quick pieced chequerboard strips. I used a star design I found in a French patchwork magazine and drew it in Electric Quilt. I then played around with block arrangements to make a design for the table runner.
You can download the EQ7 project by clicking here or by clicking on the Electric Quilt tab above. I'll add a picture of the finished thing as soon as it's done!

Your Santa wallhanging looks great. Love the design and the quilting! I saw your work on the panel in earlier posts and it's good to see the end result. That will look lovely at Christmas time. Looking forward to seeing the completed table runner!
